My self and my family

 Good morning everyone.

I would like to introduce myself as well as my family. My name is Sika Dwi Putri Maharani. You can call me dwi. I am 20 years old and I was born in Watampone.

I am the second child in my family. I have one older sister . Her name is Dian Miranda Eka Putri. She is 26 years old, and now she stay in Bone.

My father name is Masrul S.H.  My mother is A.Kartini, and she is a teacher. She teaches English in elementary school near my house.

We love watching movie together on the weekend and sometimes we go to supermarket for shopping.

 Advantages and Disavantages of Online Learning.

Online learning when applied today provides many benefits, one of which is increasing students' technological knowledge. In addition, there are also advantages and disadvantages in online learning.

Advantage of Online learning (also known as electronic learning or e-learning) is the result of teaching delivered electronically using computer-based media. The material is frequently accessed via a network, including websites, the internet, intranets, CDs and DVDs. E-learning not only accesses information (eg, putting up web pages), but also helps learners with specific results (eg achieving goals). In addition to delivering e-learning teaching, it can monitor student performance and report student progress.In addition, online learning improves students' ability to use electronics and online learning makes students have a lot of time with family at home and online learning also makes it easier for us to carry out the learning process, for example, even though we are on a journey we can still learn.

Online learning has a negatives, on its plate.they include: internet connection problem, when there is a problem with your Internet system, online learning is impossible. There is nothing you can do.slow connections are even worse.online learning can make our eyes negative because we always look at the cellphone/computer screen, but it has become our necessity to keep learning online especially during this pandemic, then with online learning, our interactions with fellow teachers and friends are less developed. online learning makes us lazy to read books and write, because we are dependent on always typing.

so online learning has its bad and good sides, the same as offline learning, it must also have bad and good sides but we still have to prioritize the advantages of learning. Because by learning we can become useful people both for ourselves and for others.

I agree with the statement above that money is the key to happiness for some people.

First of all, why do I agree that money can give happiness because based on my experience and seeing the environment around most people who are happy because they have money. "But not all happiness is based on money"and do you know examples from my experience if I feel sad, annoyed, not even in the mood. with me going shopping, hanging out, and eating it can restore the mood and make me feel happy, besides everything I do costs money.

Secondly money also has an important role in life because if our needs are met then indirectly it gives happiness to ourselves.

In Conclusion, money is a need that everyone needs and money can give happiness to some people but money is not the only source of happiness. Money is not everything but everything requires money.

     The diagram illustrates give information about the number of student enrollment in English Education Department of IAIN Palopo from 2018to 2021.

   Overall, the figure fluctuated widely. Beside, The highest number of English students in 2021 increased by 75 for females and decreased in 2018 by 36 for males.

    

     In  the first year of 2018 the number of female English students was 67 and male as many as 36, then in 2019 the number of female students increased by 72 and the number of male students also increased by 43, and in 2020 the number of female students experienced a very drastic decrease of 45 and the number of male students continued to increase q by 55. in 2021 the number of female students again experienced a very high increase of 75 and male students decreased by 47.

   So from the diagram above, it shows that the number of English students from 2018 to 2021 dominates Female compared to Male.

The difficulty in speaking English occurs because they do not apply it in daily life. because the language will be easy to master if we really apply it in everyday life, as for what makes a person unable to speak English due to lack of vocabulary and lack of confidence, this self-confidence greatly influences a person to be unable to speak even if someone is have a lot of vocabulary. The cause as a result of someone not being able to speak English is because there are too many theories but they are never implemented in everyday life because if there are too many theories and they are not practiced, then it is just as useless as for the second cause, they never practice regularly and consistently. So usually we don't want to talk because the grammar is not right, but in speaking we don't need to focus too much on grammar, the most important thing is that our interlocutor understands what we are saying unless there is a formal situation. The solution is to memorize more vocabulary and learn pronunciation. Learning pronunciation does not have to be with a teacher or tutor, but you can sing English songs, watch English movies, and videos without Indonesian subtitles. The three ways above do not only improve pronunciation but can add new vocabulary then make friends with people who are good at English and try to talk to each other how to use English and if necessary be course.

Overall application is the most often used to approach to Learning during pandemic in IAIN Palopo are WhatsApp, Google meet, and classroom. Because these application example google meet that is easy to access and widely used by learners and teachers for face to face  in learning during meanwhile WhatsApp all of the people using WhatsApp and than WhatsApp can used for learning process like make WhatsApp group for discussion and Make communication easier. And classroom help to students to send assignment and this classroom teacher can upload the material.

So on zoom and YouTube app rarely to used bacause take qouta is too large, but zoom app usually used for seminars and meeting etc. But a part students make it this app for learning. And YouTube app the teacher make it for send the Vidio about the material for the students to watched or sometimes students make it  YouTube app for send assignment In Vidio.
